Once upon a time

Bahar Ashouri - Founder Spring 2016: it rained 42 days, a record since 1960. Bahar takes her daughter Rose to daycare every morning by bike, rain or shine. However it turns out to be impossible to find a nice and practical protection. The early morning rides often turn into a drama. Bahar has been working for 15 years in the audiovisual industry. She has walked the TV sets, created her casting company, but the time has come for her to start a new project, something useful, beautiful, creative!
Rainette is all this: A range of cheerful, clever and accessible equipment to facilitate the daily life of families on bicycles.

China or not China

Take a look around you and count the items that are not from China! Let's face it, China knows how to produce. It has the industry and the know-how.
Moreover, let's not forget that a human is a human, creating jobs here or elsewhere has the same value.
We manufacture technical products and in that regard, Asia is unavoidable for us.
So, China, yes but not just any China, we have selected our supplier with the greatest care, our factories are certified BSCI * (Corporate Social Compliance Initiative).

Eco-responsibility, our raw materials

From the moment we produce, we pollute. However, today we can produce better to pollute less. Our process is not optimal but it has the merit to exist and to progress.
Are our reflective devices and fabrics eco-friendly?
- Strong and durable
- Do not require any energy source to operate
- Do not produce unnecessary light pollution and are therefore less disruptive to wildlife than a light constantly on
- They are easy to destroy at the end of their life and are potentially recyclable and reusable.
Stickers
The ink used for the stickers complies with the EC-REACH regulation. Our stickers are illustrated, printed and packaged in France.
Reflectors
The factories that manufacture our reflectors are exclusively in China and we have been very careful in our selection. We tested several products before selecting ours for its qualities: efficient, durable and recyclable.
Laces
The laces are made and packaged in Poland, the fabric and the reflective tape are both certified Oeko-tex 100 and are recyclable.
Veloche
The PVC and Velcro® used for the creation of the veloche come from Spain, the manufacturing is entirely French.
Raincoat-Apron-Sleeves-Rain pants
All our textile equipment is manufactured by the same producer, the factory is BSCI* certified, it is located near Shanghai. The fabrics are Oeko-tex 100 certified and are recyclable.
Packaging
Except for the laces, all our products are packaged in France, in an establishment of help by work (ESAT), a workshop of insertion and reinsertion for people with disabilities
